- Jen Lam Added November 18, 2019★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Not sure why this place has such high ratings. Perhaps it was the long weekend and the chef was different. We have traveled to many cities including living in Japan. Sat at the bar seating and I could tell the chef favoured the Japanese customers over the non Japanese. We ordered the same sashimi platter as another table and theirs was sliced thicker and visibly more effort was put into it. Ours was almost carpaccio-thin. Ordered rainbow rolls and the fish topping the rolls was thicker and more premium. The hot food was of the same quality (as the hot kitchen chef couldn’t see who ordered what..) Sushi rice is so important and being Japanese operated, they couldn’t get it right, it was a bit dry and not enough vinegar. The wait staff were friendly but in a get the job done kinda way. Hope they see this review.
